Young Event Horse

OUTLINE & REQUIREMENTS
Open to 4 & 5 year olds

Each section is judged out of 25, total marks available 100
EA Registration not required. 
Horses must exceed 148cm without shoes
Horses should not have competed in EvA95 or higher

Section 1 – Conformation
Location – Small Sand Arena  – SATURDAY
Rider and horse to be presented in Trot Up attire.  Horse is not to have any boots or bandages on.  Rider will enter arena (as per guideline sheet attached) and present to judge.
Conformation Test
Section 2 – Dressage
Location – Dressage Arena – Ring TBA - SATURDAY
Please present in Dressage Attire.  The desired time to complete the dressage test is 6 minutes.  You DO NOT need to present to the judge. Please circle at the A end of the arena after the rider prior to you has completed their test.  When the judge is ready they will ring the bell for you to enter. Please enter within 60 seconds of the bell. When you have completed your dressage test, please make your way down to the Paces Area (detailed below). Dressage Test: Button Below
Dressage test
Section 3 – Paces
Location – Next to Ring 1 – SATURDAY
Please present in Showjumping Attire.  Then present at the gate at your allocated time.  The judge will call you in when ready.  You will have 6 minutes to complete all the paces and jump the given obstacle.  You may be asked to jump the obstacle more than once, for example at a trot, canter or forward canter.

Section 4 – Showjumping 
Location – Sand Ring 2 – SUNDAY
Please present in Showjumping attire. There will be warm up fences outside the main arena.  You may walk the course prior to 8.00am Sunday. The course is not timed, if you need to circle before or between fences, you will not be penalised. The showjumping is not judged as a traditional showjumping course, if you have a refusal or knock down a fence, again you will not be penalised. Showjumping height is max 90cm.
