About MND Victoria Without a cure and an average life expectancy of just 27 months, MND Victoria has focused on providing the best possible care and support for Victorians living with motor neurone disease (MND) for the last 41 years. We are the only organisation providing direct care to all Victorians living with this devastating disease.
The level of support, the quality of information and the access to vital assistive equipment has increased greatly since 1981 and is allowing those who are diagnosed with MND to live as well as possible for as long as possible.

About Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Motor neurone disease (MND) is the name given to a group of diseases in which the nerve cells - neurones - controlling the muscles that enable us to move around, speak, breathe, and swallow, fail to work normally. MND is a progressive, degenerative, neurological condition with no known cure.
